THE ZAMBIA HORSE SOCIETY
The Zambia Horse Society is the National Federation for all competitive horse sport in Zambia, with the exclusion of Polo and Polo-X. It is afilliated to the F.E.I. and hosts several International events in dressage and show jumping during the year. It's purpose is to monitor and enforce rules to ensure the safety of both horse and rider at shows and training sessions and to create a fair and level playing field for all competitors.
THE ZAMBIA PONY CLUB
The Zambia Pony Club came into existence in 2006. It is afilliated to the British Pony Club and follows the rules and undertakings of that Society. Currently we only have one fully operational Branch in Lusaka but a second Branch in the Copperbelt is in the process of being formed. Pony Club is for children and young people up to the age of 21 and its aim is to educate young people not only in riding but in the care of their ponies in and out of the stable. It encourages team spirit and good sportsmanship and is an excellent place for young riders to start on their path to becoming an all round, knowledgeable horseman.

Yes, it does! And lucky is the child that gets to indulge it from that age. Too cute is right, I agree with Callie.
We're very lucky in Zambia - compared to America and the UK, horse riding is still fairly cheap and accessible. Our youngest rider is three!
